Yu-Gi-Oh

Like many anime to hit the English speaking world, Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters is more than an television series, it is a mass-market phenomenon. The world of Yu-Gi-Oh! contains a hit anime series, a popular Collectible Card Game (Duel Monsters,) and over a dozen video games selling worldwide. Yu-Gi-Oh! was created by Kazuki Takahashi in 1996, but did not hit the mainstream until a few years after that. Although most anime series become popular in America many years after they have already aired in Japan.
The anime is about a teenager, Yugi who is given an ancient artifact as a gift from his grandfather. This artifact, the Millennium Puzzle gives the owner immense power, provided they can solve it’s riddle. By using the power of the puzzle Yugi is able to transform into a legendary Duel Monsters player, and has never been beat in a game
